wintergreen

Do you keep (outside) plants inside in the winter?

I have had good luck with my ferns that live on the deck in the summer, and this winter I have a geranium that is doing great (this is the same one I rescued from the raccoon).

They live in the laundry room, it is cool and the fluorescent light stays on all the time. Maybe the painted mural makes them think they are outside.

The mural is cool and I'm sure your plants love it.
I'm going to have to switch to cactus to dry for some of my other plants. Gives me and idea for a post by the way. With the wood stove it stays around 74-75 and goes as high as 80 went the sun is doin it's thing. We don't want to put up shades but may have to one day. We do have the windows open quite often. Yes in the middle of the winter. Crazy!

Kittens and houseplants don't exactly mix. They've discovered my two aloe plants and all of a sudden I'm finding potting mixture on my countertops!!! Little stinkers. Your plants, however, look as if they're really thriving and I love your laundry room mural.

my house becomes a jungle in the winter time, as i bring all my plants in, too. i had a geranium i wanted to try to harbor over the winter, but left it outside a little too long and the first frost got it....

I was just reading about "fantasies" over at anam cara and was trying to come up with one. I got it here! A sunroom or greenhouse! My few plants don't look nearly as good as yours.
