voted best hike
According to National Geographic Adventure Magazine's 2007 issue, "Best of the Great Parks," Mount LeConte, in the Great Smoky Mountains, ranks at the top of the list for "Best Hikes."
The hike is an awesome adventure, and is worthy of the national recognition.
We made the trek last September, a year after requesting reservations, a year of anticipation. We had a great time, the story told here and here.
Thanks to Byron Chesney at Knoxville Trivia Blog for the National Geographic story.
