To Have and Have Not by Ernest Hemingway, 1937
Good beach reading, my first Hemingway, the sand and salt air provide ambiance for the story.
Key West in the 1930s, boating back and forth to Cuba, smuggling people or booze, taking the rich folks on fishing charters (the haves), trying to make enough money to feed the family (the have nots).
Found this at Amazon for 14 cents... the first 'real' book I have read since receiving my Kindle last Christmas. I miss the button that makes the font bigger...
