I received this calendar for Christmas and it is hanging in the kitchen. Each month has a full color quilt picture and full instructions on how to make it. Here is this months' quilt: Sunset Garden by Helen Frost and Catherine Skow.

When I turned the page for June, I was struck by the colors, it matches my kitchen!

Looking closer, I realized how tiny the squares are. Upon further inspection of the instructions, there are 2376 squares at 3/4" each, not counting the other size squares and borders. It reminds me of mosaic tile. Very interesting, may just have to try it!

It is like each tiny block is one pixel of a graphic. Fascinating and beautiful color, but really? Almost 3,000 teeny, tiny squares! Yikes. You are a dedicated quilter.
