Is that poison oak or ivy? I'm still not sure what's what out there!

Yes, one of those. I just know enough to stay away from it. I get it every summer, no matter what. I got it from petting the cat one year. I have gotten it from doing laundry after DH did some weed-eating. One year I got a shot every week for 6 weeks. Just one of the perks of living in the woods...

I got poison ivy so bad one year that I was really sick. Since that time it doesn't seem to bother me any more - I think I built up a resistance to it.

Hope you have fun on your trip.

That barn quilt project looks like fun.

I'm a firm believer in that liquid you can use after coming in contact with it. I once took a bath in it, in the basin of a CVS pharmacy in some remote little town after an exposure while geocaching. I had a spare set of clothes in the car so I went into the br in one set of clothes, stayed in there for about 20 minutes with the water running constantly, and then came out in a different set of clothing. No one batted an eye, but I felt like a weirdo. I didn't catch the stuff though, and I'm pretty sensitive. Tecnu(tm) I think is the name of the stuff. Awesome.

Using pine bark and pine needles for flower beds also sometimes has the PI oil in it. Always, always use gloves when using these products. Sometime maybe I'll tell a spectacular story of PI achieved by my husband and his best friend back in the early 70's. For a guy that considered himself savvy about the outdoors, he ended up with the most spectacular case of PI I've ever known about.

Stay away from it.
