View from the top of Yonah Mountain

Trail head parking lot, destination Yonah looming overheadEven though we have been talking about climbing this mountain for a while, Sunday's cool temps and clear skies prompted a spur of the moment trip. 6 miles round trip hike from the Forest Service parking area, 1600 feet change in elevation, beautiful clear day, great views, 2 geocaches found, rockclimbers to watch, lots of wildflowers. A good day!

Sounds and looks like you had a wonderful day! I'm always impressed with how physically fit you are :-)
Ohhh, that's what I call fun! Every bit of it. Wish I were there :-)
Sounds heavenly. I would love to do that....when our kids are older we will tackle those bigger hikes & climbs.
The photos are beautiful Susan.
