mountaintop icing

Just a couple miles up the road and a few hundred feet higher in elevation, Thursday night's rain turned the mountaintop into a winter wonderland.

All nice shots, but my favorite is the street sign. I'm told Floyd got quite a bit of icing...Judy's daughter told us when she stepped outside she could hear trees falling from it. Wonder how our homestead is faring...

Ice makes beautiful scenery, doesn't it? Great photos! It looks slippery up there on that mountain.
We've had ice here too lately. Snow, sleet, freezing rain in that order yesterday. Glad I didn't have to drive in it.

Icing like that is definitely dangerous beauty but beautiful nonetheless. It did about the same thing here in the Northeast Kingdom and the higher you go the more beautiful it is. Thanks for the photos!

Hi Susan, wonderful pictures of the grandkids. I love all the quotes you use in your posts. Hurray for nearing completion on a quilting project. I know how that feels. Been thinking about quilt labels myself. I'll be interested in seeing what you did for yours. Stay warm and dry!

I am freezing just looking at the ice on the sign! We wore shorts and t-shirts today. Everyone should migrate to my town for the winter months!
