archeology

ancient burial grounds? maze making?

after studying the blueprints with the masonry subcontractor...

after "what the heck?" calls were made to the architect and engineers...

after almost a mile of string was used for layout...

These unusually deep and numerous footings (for a 2-story building) were dug out of the Georgia red clay, and lay waiting to be filled with concrete on Monday.

Buddy's latest job is off to a good start - another bank building, this one in nearby Dawsonville, Georgia.

Paleolithic zipper?

Chuckles for Barry's zipper. I haven't a clue what or where it is. I hope you have the answer and will share!

Is this the foundation of a new building Buddy's working on?

Too level to be old. I vote for footings to a more modern structure. I'm betting it's close to, or on a flood plain, because of the color and texture of the clay too. I look forward to seeing the answer.

Do you think that one day 2000 years from now they'll be digging us up?

This looks like a building foundation. I can't wait for the answer.
