home sweet home

Mid pleasures and palaces
though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble,

there's no place like home.

Your home sweet home deck is gorgeous. Did you have someone taking care of your plants while you were away enjoying yourselves?

No, they are pretty much self-sufficient. I had someone feeding the cat and getting the mail, but didn't want to ask too much... like watering the flowers. But we obviously got some rain while we were gone, and luckily the flowers were flourishing when we returned!

how pretty! All that is missing from that photo is a bench with a quilt (and a cat!)

It's always nice coming home to beautiful flowers blooming and a welcoming kitty cat.

And here I thought it was a line from Dorothy (in Wizard of Oz), as she clicked her heels together..."There's no place like home!"

Your flowers look very lush and happy!

I envy you that August Deck. Here in Jacksonville the rain has been so scant that our yard is a brown as November. We can only water the plants enough on a survival basis to keep them alive. Your garden looks thriving and lovely. I saved your photo for my desktop background today.
