flyin high

Carrie's Skydiving Adventure

For weeks our daughter Carrie has been implying that something big was going to happen on Saturday the 19th, but she wouldn't tell us what it was. We had a lot of guesses...

are you getting a tattoo? a new car? changing your hair?

But she wouldn't budge with any hints, so on Sunday the 20th she gathered everyone together and popped a DVD into the player and we got to watch "Carrie's Skydiving Adventure"!

From the looks of the movie and pictures, she had a blast!

Boy, she sure has more guts than I have. Looks like she's having the ride of her life. So neat that the fly boys take videos/pictures of the jump to share with everyone.

I'll just bet, after much anticipation, that you guys were a little shocked when you finally got to see what the surprise was all about. It's sort of like a lump-in-the-throat moment. (the word verification for this comment was "fwght." How funny is that?

If Carrie would have told you ahead of time, you probably would have been against it...so she just went ahead and did it.

She's pretty gutsy, your daughter. I always wanted to try this, but just never got around to it...now I'm too old. *LOL*

My daughter, Somershade, signed herself up for a jump and then proceeded to break her leg, a couple of weeks before the jump (hairline fracture)...Her dad & I were so relieved, but we never told her how happy we were that she broke her leg. Wasn't that awful of us!

OH. MY. GOODNESS!! It's probably a good thing you didn't know about this until *afterwards*! (if you don't know, you can't fret!)

Carrie looks like a gorgeous warrior woman in the photos - 'I am woman, hear me roar!' Good on her.
