50th Wedding Anniversary 1987

Happy Thanksgiving Anniversary!

Thinking of you this holiday, wish you were here!  The house was full of your kids and grandkids and great-grandkids.  Your holiday recipes live on year after year.  We wished you Happy Anniversary as we sat around the table surrounded by family and friends.

We know you are keeping an eye on us - last week when Buddy was washing the windows outside, I walked under the ladder and immediately said - uh oh - Inez wouldn't like that!  And I know Felton is looking over Buddy's shoulder at work, wishing he could still use all that scrap lumber to build something.

People 'round these parts remember you fondly (as do we all) - just this week Kyle was told that his great-grandparents were the nicest folks.  Yes you were!

How interesting to read "Mildred Inez" in your post. That's my mother's given name. She was born in 1917 and said there were "so many Mildreds" when she was in high school in the 1930s that teenagers would get on the trolley and shout "Hey, Mildred" and get several girls to answer. In high school with her were "Mildred Short and Mildred Long" -- and decades later I met and came to know Mildred Long, who married late and life and changed her last name after retirement.
