latest development
Just finished my Canada vacation book. I know it has been 2 years...
Did you ever find film in the little canister rolling around in the junk drawer 2 years after it was taken, wondering what was on it, and finally getting it developed?
Yes, I am of that age and still getting used to the digital photo age. Vacation photos used to be sent to be developed and processed and then put into photo albums, you remember those kind you could hold in your hand and pass around for everyone to see. Now the albums are digital and virtual and you can still pass them around via email, etc.
We took around 1200 digital pictures on our Canada vacation, a bit overwhelming, but we posted some online and sent out emails to friends and family. But there was something missing, seeing the pictures on paper. Printing the pictures and putting them into albums the old fashioned way wasn't quite what I was looking for. So I decided to make my own photo album, book form.
Once again I used the software from Blurb and was very pleased with it, the finished book will be here in a couple of weeks, and I had a 20% off coupon that will expire 7/31. So another project finished even if it is a little late.
Now we can sit on the couch and look at our vacation photos like old folks, smiling and reminiscing and all the while wondering... did we really go there? We must have, we are holding the proof in our hands!
