a perfect day

Saturday was a perfect day - cool weather, sunshine, slight breeze, clear blue sky, a trail to hike, a mountain to climb, breathtaking vistas, a little history, a backpack picnic with a view, a little rock climbing, a drive through the curvy mountain roads, good company, good times.

What is your definition of a perfect day?

When you have worn out your shoes, the strength of the shoe leather has passed into the fiber of your body. I measure your health by the number of shoes and hats and clothes you have worn out. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Beautiful pictures! One year when my oldest son was in his early teens and my youngest son was about 10 we spent a week a Blood Mountain Cabins near the Appalachian Trail. It is God's Country. We felt we were up in Heaven.

Our definition of a perfect day is very similar.

My parents have a 2nd home in Blairsville and we love to spend the day hiking the trails in the area. Just gorgeous. Peaceful.
