hair today gone tomorrow

Melissa's hair was just getting too long, she needed to get it cut, but leave it to Melissa to come up with a plan.

Her friend and neighbor has been through cancer and chemo and hair loss and wig buying, so Melissa researched hair donation for cancer patients and decided to donate her hair to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program:

Donating your hair is a heartfelt and life-changing act of women's cancer and breast cancer support.

To fill this need and help people transform their healthy hair into a heartfelt gift, Pantene partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to launch Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a campaign that encourages people to grow, cut and donate their hair to create free, real-hair wigs for women who've lost their hair due to cancer.

Thanks Melissa for always thinking of others, you set a good example for all your girls (daughters, sister, mom)!

A very good program! I don't know why everyone who gets their long hair cut doesn't participate...maybe they do. The cut looks great!

Her new do is terrific!! I have donated my hair twice, the first time after a dear friends death following a rare and untreatable form of lung cancer. I felt it was the very least I could do.
