let it snow

Let It Snow!Oh the weather outside is frightful

Let It Snow! But the fire is so delightful

Let It Snow! And since we've no place to go

Let It Snow!Let It Snow!

Let It Snow!Let It Snow!

Let It Snow!Let It Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

We were surprised with a first snow of the season on the first day of December, not much accumulation but pretty nonetheless. The road over the mountain was solid ice, though, and folks that did have a place to go had to go 'round the long way. Folks like me that work at home kept the delightful home fires burning and said Let it Snow!

As I sit here in the heat and humidity, your snow looks very inviting!

You're going to have a wonderful white Christmas.

How pretty! I love the red berries in the snow. What are the patterns on the side of the building?

Thanks for the links. That's a great project. I've admired those Tennessee quilts on another blog but never seen them in person. That's as good as the Ruby Falls barns!

We had flurries but nothing stuck as it was still a little too warm outside. Your snow looks more inviting and pleasant. Aren't you the lucky dog for getting to work at home!

Your delight is apparent in your photos :) The first snow always seems to be welcome. I lose my appreciation quickly when I have to drive in it.
Your little hideaway looks gorgeous with the first dusting. Your berries will be on my desktop, if that's OK with you :)
What kind are they?

Love those quilt blocks on the out building. I never did get around to making mine. You take the best pictures, did ya know?
