Museum of Natural History

Lincoln Memorial

Vietnam Veteran Memorial

Carrie called yesterday morning, "I am sitting on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, looking out over the Reflecting Pool..." She was on her own in our nation's capital, a tourist with her whole day planned out, carrying maps and Metro schedule and of course the necessary camera.

Good shots...am particularly impressed with the indoor one at the museum. I should think being in DC on 9/11 would make the reverence felt at the memorials especially profound.

Susan, you and Buddy have raised an independent young woman with a lust for travel. They do say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree....!

These photos bring back great memories of when we spent a week touring the Smithsonian and surroundings in '03. So many wonderful things to see. We had such a great time.
On the Wall we found a couple of soldiers my husband knew. Awesome place!
Carrie certainly does have a lust for travel :)
