penny postcards

Chickamauga Battlefield as seen on a penny postcard.

These postcards cost 1 cent to mail until postage was raised to 2 cents from 1917 to 1919 to cover the cost of World War I.

Susan, have you ever climbed up the stairs inside Wilder Tower? It tired me when I was young, maybe one-third my current age, but I think everyone should do it at least once.

You captured nice lighting on that tower, and I was glad to learn about the penny postcard web site. I had fun exploring old postcards of places I used to live.

Hi Susan,

Finn pointed the way to your blog. She says you are a geocacher. I just started geocaching myself. I'm still trying to figure a lot of things out.

I'm glad I found your blog :-D The doll quilt you received from TheCalicoCat is cute!

Well, it's nice to "meet" you.
