real camping

Our daughter Carrie and lifelong friend Sicilley recently camped out down at the lower falls, it got down to 25 degrees that night, but they had a great time. Girls night out, guys - who needs 'em? (Well, thanks to one guy - DAD - who helped haul all the stuff down there, especially the firewood!)

pretty spot for camping... BRRR! make me cold just thinking about 25 degrees...

I have many not so fond memories of camping, but there are a few good ones thrown in for good measure too.

I think I'll stick to hotels or RV's from now on...

25° they are real woman. Looks like a beautiful place to camp.

My idea of camping out in exotic places includes names like Marriott and Hilton which are located in sunny, warm climes. I don't do well in the great outdoors. But, I give these women credit for being brave souls. Must take after their mothers.

Good morning Susan, sorry to be so 'missing' from all the action lately...I'm working on it..*VBS*

What a beautiful picture of your lovely daughter. That's a prize winning smile if I ever saw one.

Loved the 'gone' post, so terribly sad, but progress marches onward, not such an improvment tho, to my way of thinking.
And your Dogwood winter pictures are as lovely as always. Yes, no matter what the new 'do' or 'duds' are, Easter is whimsical and unpredictable. I know well about the cruel joke that is often played on us.
Sending lots of springtime hugs, Finn

Those photos are so enticing - makes me feel like camping again soon! Mind you, it's also unlikely to get much beyond a tad cool overnight here, so I'm nowhere near as brave as Carrie and her friend!

I can't remember how many years it has been since I was camping but if I did go I would hope it would be in such a lovely spot. I guess you have to be young to stand the 25% though. I am with Motherkitty Marriot, Hillton - camping with all the creature comforts. Beautiful daughter.

That's awfully cold, but the campsite looked nice.
