We started going to Weight Watchers - Buddy has done this before, the first time about 20 years ago, second time about 4 years ago. It must be my good cooking…

This time I joined him, time to lose some of this baby fat (my babies are 25 and 28…) Or maybe it is from pizza and movie popcorn, or my current mindset of being on permanent vacation?

After one week on the plan, time for weigh-in. He lost 3 times as much as me! The lady said, 'Men always lose faster, doesn't it make you want to just smack 'em?"

So I did.

I am joining you on a diet. I got a jump start with an "involuntary stress diet" -not my favorite way to lose weight! I heard the other day that it is better to leave the table while you are still a little hungry.

What a great little picture! Just shows that women start early on this weight obsession thing LOL!!

Husband and I went through the same thing after my knee surgery last year. After we joined we followed the program religiously. Counted every point, spent a fortune on special food, resisted every temptation. I was always hungry but was good about following the plan and documenting everything. At our first weigh-in, husband lost about six pounds. Me, I gained 1-1/4 pounds. Go figure.

While we were on the program, I lost about 25 pounds. We eventually stopped going because it got expensive but we still tried to watch what we ate. After sitting on our fat butts all winter, we are now back to our usual miserable, fat selves and can't wait to get into the pool again for exercise. The trick to being in the pool is while you are swimming laps, you don't put food in your mouth.

Good luck to you and Buddy. Maybe you could post before and after photos (like Kirstie Alley) and you could be the WW's spokesperson.

Oh, boy, I can feel your pain!!! (My husband loses weight if he merely *glances away* from his food!) This post is too funny!

I have done Weight Watchers, too - thought it was great. I still count points every now and then for a week or two if I gain a bit of weight. I think it's a really sensible way of eating.

Good luck. Remember if Buddy does too well, he may need another small smack. Just to keep him in line ;)

I would do Weight Watchers but my style is more watching my weight which is getting lower but ever so slowly. I know I am losing weight because my clothes are starting to fall off of me. No really I had to get rid of a pair of shorts that wouldn't stay up on me - I just hope it wasn't from being streched out but from being too big.

LOL, I came over because Amy has a link on her blog. Thank you so much for smacking him on behalf of all men everywhere who lose weight faster than we do!
