the tax man cometh

It is that time.

Time to figure the old income taxes.

A dreaded chore.

It has gotten easier, I must admit, with the computerized version. The post office is pretty much out of the loop now, no forms to mail in, no waiting by the mailbox for the refund check.

I finished our taxes this weekend, signed, sealed, and delivered. Well, not signed actually - one of the questions is 'do you want to sign your return electronically?'

And not really sealed and delivered either - 'transmitted electronically online'.

And the refund will be 'transmitted electronically into your bank account'.

Good deal and done for another year. Now off to work so I can pay more taxes!

It's income tax time again, Americans: time to gather up those receipts, get out those tax forms, sharpen up that pencil, and stab yourself in the aorta. ~Dave Barry

Indoors or out, no one relaxes in March, that month of wind and taxes, the wind will presently disappear, the taxes last us all the year. ~Ogden Nash
