can't buy love

It's all about love... or is it?

Statistics say it is all about flowers, cards, chocolate, or more specifically about spending money!

Valentine's Day is the #1 holiday for the floral market.

Valentine's Day is the #2 largest holiday for greeting cards.

Valentine's Day is the 4th biggest holiday for confectionary purchases.

Remember in grade school when we sent those little cards and were so thrilled to get some back? And those chalky candy hearts with little sayings on them like "be mine"?

Don't fall under the retail pressure, don't be in the crowd at the store at the last minute just to CYA. Just let those you love know it!

Oops - gotta go, I hope the candy and cards are not all gone...

Here's hoping everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy VD to you (no, not some socially unacceptable sexual disease!). Hope you find those flowers and candy before they're all sold out. Me, husband and I are braving the light snow falling to go out to lunch. He wants to try his laptop out at the local WIFI cafe. How romantic is that? Better than a punch in the nose.

Happy Valentine's Day!
It is a Hallmark sort of holiday, but we show our love throughout the year.
I just think it's an opportunity to show something a little extra special this one day!

Valentine's Day is celebrated at our house everyday, so Feb. 14th just means it's one of our daughter's birthday. And I still love to buy myself those little chalky hearts and I read each one before I eat it.
