word of the year

Breaking news: the winner of the 2006 Word of the Year is ...

plutoed - to demote or devalue someone or something, as happened to the former planet Pluto

or as in - I hope I don't get plutoed...

~From the American Dialect Society

NASA on Pluto

I wonder if Merriam Webster Dictionary will add plutoed, like they added these words last year.

What a good expression! I plan to use it at the next available opportunity.

What a nonsensical word! I hope Webster's plutoes this word because it just dosn't make sense,i.e., "I plutoed my dog Pluto because he chewed up my shoes." What will they think of next.

The whole thing kinda upset me kicking Pluto off the planet list. Doesn't surprise me that someone came up with this. Probably a teenager.

My son's friends say "josh copused it" when they collaged something.

I still don't get how they can change their mind about something as big and awesome as Pluto!
