in search of color...

One of the things I love most about living in the South - no matter what the season, there's still some color out there somewhere.

The other day I saw a groundskeeping crew planting rows and rows of little yellow flowers outside a business. I doubt that could happen in January in, like, Fargo...

And it's not like we're in the subtropics or something - it still gets pretty chilly - just not for that long or that low a temp...

great pics! i actually still have a little purple pansy blooming in my flower garden. we've had such a warm winter so far, so i think it's a bit confused! :)
