Cloudland Canyon

Weekend at Cloudland Canyon State Park in the Northwest corner of Georgia. We hiked the 4.8 mile west rim trail loop plus down into the canyon to see the two waterfalls, then up the other side to the east rim.

Perfect weather for camping and hiking - cool and clear - with an extra bonus of beautiful fall leaves.

Susan,
Just viewed you photo album of Cloudland Canyon, beautiful! Isn't the US a beautiful place. Some of the shots remind me of the Grand Canyon in Pa.
What kind of camera are you using?

Beautiful waterfall. I wish I could go with you on these jaunts, but viewing your lovely blog will be the best I can do. No more big hikes for me these days.

Blue - the other gorge near Dillard is Tallulah Gorge State Park, we were there a couple of years ago, I will have to find those pictures and post.

Thanks Tuff and John and everyone for the comments!

Janet - Sony Cybershot - but I am still in 'automatic' mode!

We used to go to Cloudland every month in the fall. I love the hike down to the waterfall, but the hike up is a bear!
