Next week this time the decorations will be gone, the house will be back to normal, the resolutions will be forming.

This week we will be in that place between, not wanting to let go of the holiday feeling, in between overeating and diet, between work and play, between practical and whimsical.

But for now we can still bask in the afterglow of Christmas, still nibbling on the ham and cheese ball, still experiencing the euphoria that is Christmas, or just napping by the fire.

A great time was had by all the extended family, little Jack summed it up best when asked if he liked Christmas - well DUH!

This is greqt!
Of all the photos in your album I liked the "sleeping with a book" (#1) and the "debris of Christmas" (#13) best.

I do have one suggestion: perhaps your title should be "Aftermath" instead of "Afterglow".

Joyous New Year to you and yours.

I would feel more of an aferglow if my house wasn't such a mess. I guess it's an indicaiton of how much fun was had!

We are also experiencing the "afterglow" of Christmas and it's wonderful.

Wasn't Christmas great this year? I loved your pictures, especially the one showing your family room after all the presents were opened (#13). Luckily, Little Sister was very good about helping grandma put wrapping paper in the trash as the presents were opened so we weren't inundated with all the debris.

We had a wonderful time also and right now I'm going to take a nap! Care to join me in a little down time?
