Colors of Winter

RED - dogwood berries

BLUE - crisp winter sky

GREEN - shiny rhododendron

PURPLE - ivy's winter coat

BROWN - frosty fall leaves

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm just a newbie...but have been reading your's already for a couple of weeks! The pictures remind me of the midwest where our line-dried laundry would freeze if it was too cold.

Isn't it amazing just how much color there is outside in the winter? What a gift it is to go walking and come across flaming red berries! Wonderful series of shots.

Yes, went looking for color and found it! I have to admit, though, that the dogwood berries are not in my yard, but in the park next to the confederate cannonballs. All the other colors were found in my yard, right under my nose, and I thought winter was bleak and colorless!

Nice pictures. Here in Florida we are going through the brown stage with a little green thrown in.
