Just playing tourist here in Clarksville, the 5th largest city in Tennessee. Lots of history here, riverboats, tobacco, civil war, Olympic star, railroads, rivers, military, lots to blog about!

What a lovely area. Such a peaceful river. Looking forward to hearing more about the history.

Lovely pictures from your travels. We go through there on the interstate on way back to visit our family in Illinois. However, we only get as far as the Clarksville exit 4 Steak and Shake usually. We don't have any of those around here and S & S was founded in Bloomington-Normal where we are from. ( DJ was even a curbie for a short time, LOL.) Looks like we are missing something by not playing tourist like you!
