home shopping

(click picture for holiday deals)

Holiday shopping. Living in the country we can go to the local Walmart or take a day to hit the malls etc. But my favorite store is Amazon. No traffic, just click and buy and it arrives on your doorstep.

Always look for the deals of course and do whatever it takes to get free shipping.

A couple of years ago I signed up for Amazon Prime - a $79 annual fee to get free 2-day shipping. Of course I would not pay $79 a year, but they were offering a free trial of the service for 30 days. I signed up, it was great for holiday shopping, then I canceled it before the 30 days were up.

I wish I could do that again, but since I had used up my free trial I figured there was no way. They kept advertising it online, so I checked into it and sure enough:

"If you haven't been an Amazon Prime member in the last 13 months, you can sign up for a free trial."

Woohoo! Let the shopping begin!

Check it out! Amazon Prime free trial

Hi Susan, Collage? Mostly we collect stuff from everyday life, magazines, and photos that have meaning and then cut and paste and play. Did you click on my "Collage" category archive on the sidebar of my blog?

Shopping online is the best way! And Amazon gets most of my business. Hadn't thought about the Prime around the holidays - good suggestion!

I have been afraid I would forget to cancel that, but have thought about giving it a try....I use them enough.

However I usually go the free shipping route...so far it has never been as slow as they predicted! I have paid for shipping that ended up being slower plenty of times...
