seasonal sights
This time of year we usually slip off for a weekend, just a little break from work and home, for the sights and sounds of Christmas in the Smokies, kind of a jump-start for the Christmas spirit.
We see and hear the same stuff every year, same shows, songs, lights etc., and although I never tire of it, this year was different. We took Melissa and 3 granddaughters with us! Everything looked and sounded different this year, more exciting, seeing it all through their eyes.
The words 'cool' and 'wow' and 'thanks for bringing us' were heard over and over. I forgot how little it takes to please a child sometimes - pretty lights, snow out the window, singing Christmas songs along with the radio.
Thank you girls for making this a great trip!
