chillin out
By Sunday afternoon it was so hot and crowded in Gatlinburg, and after all that hiking, we decided to chill out by finding a river to get our feet wet and set a spell.
We headed out to the Greenbriar area of the park, stopping on the way to get a couple of camping chairs (note to self: keep camping chairs in the car). The water was cold and clear, the area peaceful and inducive to napping.
We must have got our second wind, because we made a quick trip over to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood for an ice cream cone and a ride on the roller coaster. Supper at Cracker Barrel rounded out a long but wonderful day.
