true colors

after months of blending in, going with the crowd, sticking together, collectively disguised, wearing the green school uniform…

the trees are starting to rebel, their individualism is beginning to shine through, each with a personality all its own, showing their true colors.

Gorgeous photographs, Susan. And I love your creative characterization of trees in fall rebelling and "showing their true colors." Very nice!

Only you -- you talented poet -- can see the beauty in fall leaves and thrill us with your tender words. Makes me actually want to get out of the house today and look closer at the fall in our neck of the woods.

Gorgeous colors! I love your photos! That one with the red leaf especially, but I loved the sunlight in the other ones, too.
