vacation entertainment

We took long walks on the beach, covering just a small fraction of the long beach. We maybe saw a total of 20 people out there at any one time.

We were entertained by the sand crabs (ghost crabs) darting back and forth on the beach, and the seagulls and other birds scouring the shoreline for food. It soon became an evening ritual to go sit on the beach and watch the sun drop into the ocean.

That sand looks like white powdered sugar (almost). Cute little ghost crab! So, you didn't tell us who went on this fabulous vacation -- just you and hubby, or were others there with you?

Just the two of us!

Those crabs are very difficult to capture -- they vanish down the hole faster than you can blink it seems. Yet you got one! It's a wonderful shot!

Wow...the kids and I all had fun catching those little crabs as they darted around. We caught them with paper cups and nets. Jimmy told the kids that they wouldn't hurt, so he caught one with his hands and the thing pinched him so hard that it drew blood.

Your pictures are a tease...but sooo nice.

Those beach photos look so inviting that I'd love to join you. Can you just stay there a bit longer and I'll just keep swimming in a north-easterly direction, across the Pacific Ocean, through the Panama Canal, and I'll eventually reach you in Florida. NO I won't - I can only swim about five metres!

Have a great holiday.
