New Year Numbers...

  • 8 days into the new year and what have I accomplished?

  • 7189 lines typed last week, not including blogging
  • 6 movies watched - Polar Express, Wedding Crashers, The Goonies, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fun with Dick & Jane, Down to You
  • 3 books read or in the process of reading - Nicolas Sparks' True Believer, Lanny Donoho's God's Blogs, and Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife
  • 143 geocaches found (total, not just this week)
  • 32 cups of coffee
  • 5 miles hiking (optimistic total)
  • 0 miles on the treadmill - it has been dragged out of storage and is waiting for me to make the first step - onto it.
And what can I glean from this list? Looks like I have spent too much time on the couch watching movies!

“To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.”
