Survivor!
Yes, I am a Survivor fan, I admit it! This season so far, the girls are definitely in charge. While watching the show, I am reminded of my daughter, Melissa. As a mother of 4 between the ages of 8 and 11, she is constantly trying to Outwit, Outplay, and Outlast. I think she would think of the Survivor experience as a nice vacation to Guatemala, with a few games to play, lots of help with the meals, adult conversation, time for some R&R. She would also have the added bonus of no kids to deal with, which means no homework or football practice or track meets or piano practice or play costumes to make or birthday parties to plan or laundry or grocery shopping. And that is just this week! (Oh, forgot, also this past week she painted and hung curtains in 3 rooms in her house in her spare time, in addition to her 3 jobs.) So what if her plants aren’t survivors, Melissa definitely is one. Maybe we will send in an audition for her, she needs a vacation!
