The woodshed was rapidly emptying, so we scouted out a couple of dead trees to cut for firewood. Cutting our own trees for firewood is kind of like having a free heating source, well kinda... cut with the chainsaw, hauled out with the 4-wheeler and trailer, split with the woodsplitter... but it is free compared to the price of heating oil, I know first hand, because our tank was filled last week - ouch!
