Jungle Gardens









Jungle Gardens is part of the Avery Island experience along with the Tabasco factory. The McIlhenny family estate gardens is a delight, 170 acres with a drive through tour and places to stop and park along the way, take a hike, enjoy nature, but watch out for alligators.

We did not see much wildlife - no gators, but the birds more than made up for the lack of other animals seen. The snowy egrets nesting on Willow Pond are a spectacular site.

The magnificent live oaks are huge, some of the long limbs need a little support.

A popular place for local wedding photographs, just bring your waders.
