E ticket ride

Have you ever had an E-ticket ride? Do you even know what that means?

I recently heard this phrase, E-ticket ride, while with a younger friend and asked her if she knew what it meant, no... So I had to explain the whole A B C D E-ticket era, as an elder I feel I must impart this wisdom and pass it on to the younger generations...

Since the 1950s, the phrase E Ticket (or E ticket ride) has referred to an unusually interesting, thrilling or expensive experience. It derives from the tickets used at Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks until 1982. They were purchased in ticket books and came in different denominations, from A through E, with E tickets being the most expensive and reserved for the newest, most expensive or popular rides and attractions. ~ wikipedia

Some E-ticket rides that come to mind are skydiving adventures by family daredevils Carrie and Melissa, white water rafting, and my ride on a nuclear submarine!

This phrase came to mind this week when early one morning I found a mouse sitting in the toilet drinking water.... needless to say he got an unexpected E-ticket ride!
