just say it

Some things need to be said, out loud - like telling your kids you love them - before it's too late, they are gone, you are gone, whatever, just

Say what you need to say

Tell your boss how you feel - having been on both sides of the employer/employee fence, bosses have no idea about all the discontent going on in the trenches unless someone tells them. Communication is key here, so

Say what you need to say

What about that spouse, how long has it been since you really talked about serious stuff, not just work or weather or kids? Sit down and have a heart-to-heart about life and dreams like you used to way back when,

Say what you need to say

This post was inspired by a song heard on the radio, Say by John Mayer. After hearing him repeat the phrase, "say what you need to say" for what seemed like a hundred times, I looked up the lyrics online and here's what else he had to say…

Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead
If you could only

Say what you need to say

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You better know that in the end
It’s better to say too much
Than never to say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

Say what you need to say
