Déjà vu

The gas shortage here in Georgia stretches over a week now with no immediate relief in sight. The frantic search for gas causes long lines at the few open stations, short tempers, and cars following tanker trucks like the Pied Piper.

We ventured out yesterday afternoon to nearby Dawsonville for dinner and a movie. All the gas stations we passed were out of gas, it was surprising to see so many cars on the road, they were probably out looking for gas so they could go to work this week. By late afternoon on the way home two stations were open with very long lines.

Déjà vu of the 70s, been there, done that:

Just another perk of working at home for me, but not so for a lot of frustrated folks out there.
