pumpkin sale
Just down the mountain and around the curve is Burt's Pumpkin Farm. In October the weekend traffic at Burt's is crazy with all the folks from Atlanta, but on a Monday afternoon it was nice and quiet.
At Burt's you can shop for the perfect pumpkin, take a hayride pulled by a John Deere tractor through the mountain trails, or try your luck at the corn maze.
Better hurry, the stock of potential jack-o-lanterns is dwindling and the prices are dropping. I wonder what they do with all those pumpkins after October 31st? Mrs. Burt will probably be making lots of pumpkin pies and pumpkin bread.
