Brasstown Bald
View from Brasstown Bald - the highest mountain in Georgia, 4,784 feet above sea level. September 23, 2007 - the first day of fall.
The visitor center on top of the mountain is a half mile up from the parking lot, accessible via shuttle or hiking trail. It has an extensive display inside (bears, quilts, a train!), but of course the real attraction is the 360-degree view outside.
