Over the weekend, I could actually feel my spirits lifting along with the clouds, the sun out for the first time in a week, the rays falling across the saturated deck, driveway puddles, shining on the flag gently blowing in the breeze.
It was deceiving, appearing out the window to be warm like spring, but in the background was the reminder of the steady hum of the furnace. Isn't it strange how our mood and outlook is so affected by the weather? After a week of being indoors, it felt good to get out and about on Saturday.
Of course, the nice weather only lasted one day. We are now back to rain and gloom to start the week. Rainy days and Mondays…
