Just hangin out

One of the local apple houses has quilts hanging out on a clothesline on the weekends, a real tourist traffic stopper! I always liked the way the quilts looked, hanging there in the sunshine and breeze. I tried to get a picture of the scene, but there were too many cars, etc. So, of course I said, "I can do that!" We haven't hung laundry out to dry in years, but had a clothesline and some clothespins from Jacob's baby shower decorations, got out some quilts and hung them in my yard. I did not realize that I had so many quilts until I got them all out. I think most of the vintage ones are from Aunt Bess. There is one in particular that I would like to find out the name of the pattern used. Mystery Quilt The pieces are so tiny, I would never attempt to start something so intricate.

I wonder where all those scraps came from, were they fabric scraps left over from sewing or were they cut up from old clothes? If quilts could talk, oh the stories they could tell.

When life gives you scraps, make a quilt.
